Consultative Process
While processes are in place to streamline operations, due to the custom nature of our business, each project is truly unique, but follows a similar course:
David Vincent Design Owner Jim Zoyiopoulos conducts an interview with clients and their design team to find out how home electronics integrate into the client's individual lifestyle. He asks relevant questions and listens attentively, then uses his knowledge of new technological developments, past experiences integrating a variety of systems and products, and design expertise to make recommendations of several scenarios in several price ranges.
Jim helps his clients envision a spa for the senses an environment that evokes casual elegance, comfort, relaxation, and luxury. He understand his clients need to feel comfortable that electronics will blend seamlessly into their decor and helps them visualize possibilities that will enchant the self-proclaimed technophobe and gearhead alike.
After reviewing blueprints or remodel plans together, clients help Jim begin to pin down a project plan according to their overall project schedule, incorporating the four key factors that drive a system -- performance, aesthetics, budget, and ease of use. Each one is weighted by priority and offsets the other -- in one room, aesthetics may be of utmost importance, and creatively hiding speakers may drive up the budget and impact performance, for example.
After David Vincent Design is retained, a full, functional design is created, and a line-item estimate is generated. Prewire,
Trim, Installation, and Programming phases follow, and the estimate
is continually revised to accommodate for changing client needs and
new technological developments. During and after Installation,
CEDIA*-trained Technicians conduct client orientation sessions and
provide support to all users, from the homeowner to the occasional
guest.
