A Note From The Owner:
People. Process. Training. Flexibility. Fun.
When I purchased David Vincent Design in 2002, my vision was to be able to grow the business by adding employees, taking on more complex jobs and, to that end, training continuously and establishing proven processes. I send all employees (including office staff) to the CEDIA* Expo each year.
In addition to our capable team and professional business practices, our success can be attributed to our flexibility. It is my goal to listen to my clients and create a system that works for their home, their lifestyle. I engage prospective clients in conversations regarding their needs and coach them to weigh performance, budget, ease of use, and aesthetic considerations and, together, we make decisions about compromises and designs. My sales approach is a very “soft” one, and I consider my salespeople to be all of my clients and my technicians. They are the ones who generate the buzz about what a great system “so-and-so” has. My business comes from 99% referral and repeat clients, and so I must give clients what they want, not what I want. I’m constantly reminded that, as technical as this business is, it is ultimately about people.
People. Training. Process. Flexibility. These are the keys to my success. We are always learning, and always learning how much we have yet to learn.
And one more thing – a key ingredient is always a sense of fun and enthusiasm. I love what I do, and I would do this if it weren’t my job. My clients can sense that. They know I’m the nerd who reads Home Theater Magazine and spends hours researching new products online after the doors are locked each night.
